What to See Around the Messier Objects?

This is a document I worked on a while back, to figure out what was within a few eyepiece fields from the Messier objects. As far as I remember, it was within 10° of each object, and whatever I found had to be within reach of a 10″ (25 cm) telescope under a decently dark sky.

Do 3 (40*, SB7, III2m n, 14′) ~1¼° SSW of Do 39. The huge γ Cygni Nebula (IC 1318; 50×30′, Br 1-5, Col 3-4) is ~1° NW of Messier 29, but stretches 3° W, 3° N and 3° E, around 37 γ Cyg (Sadr). It contains Do 10 (8*, SB3, IV1p n), B 347 (1′ op. 4), B 344 (7′ op. 3), B 343 (13×5′ op. 5), Do 43 (SB20, IV2p), and NGC 6910 (oc 50* I2m n, 7′, mag 7.4, m* 9.61); Do 44 (15*, m* 7.1, 12′, IV2p n) and B 348 (60′ op. 3) twice ½° W of there. DoDz 10 (40*, m* 7.1, 24′ IV2p n) is ~3° WNW of 37 γ Cyg. NGC 6888 (mag 7.4, 18×12′, Br 1-5, Col 3-4) and Basel 6 (oc 40*, IV1m n, 13′, mag 7.7, m* 10.18) are twice 1° WNW of 34 Cyg, which is just above Do 40.
